The North Fond du Lac Orioles faced a challenging evening on the gridiron as the Milwaukee School of Languages walked away with a 24-16 win this past Friday. Despite a valiant effort from the home team, the Hawks maintained momentum throughout the contest to secure the narrow eight-point margin. The loss marks a tough start for the Orioles as they look to calibrate their roster early in the season. Wyatt Goldapske served as the engine for the North Fond du Lac offense, completing 5 of 18 passes for 94 yards while adding 51 yards and a touchdown on the ground. Braydon Wojkiewicz proved to be a reliable deep threat, hauling in two receptions for an impressive 74 yards. Defensively, Jaden Vazquez-Mendoza was a force to be reckoned with, racking up five tackles, a sack, and two tackles for loss to anchor the Oriole defensive line. While the scoreboard did not swing in favor of the home side, the individual performances showcased promising grit for the remainder of the schedule.
