Ripon opened their 2026 football season with a disciplined performance at Ingalls Field this past Thursday night. The Tigers utilized a stifling defensive effort to overcome Laconia in a low-scoring affair that showcased the grit of both programs. With a final score of 16-6, Ripon walked away with a crucial ten-point margin of victory to begin conference play. This result provides Ripon with early momentum as they look to establish themselves as a top contender within the league. For Laconia, the defeat serves as a challenging start that will require adjustments as the team turns its attention toward upcoming non-conference matchups. The atmosphere at Ingalls Field was electric as fans from both communities gathered for this early-season test. By securing this win, Ripon has set a positive tone for the weeks ahead and established a baseline of intensity that coaches will look to build upon throughout the remainder of the season.
