Mayville High School marched into Lomira High School on Thursday evening and secured a commanding conference win, taking all three sets against the Lions. The Cardinals found success through consistent rotations and effective ball control that kept the home side struggling to establish rhythm. By executing clean side outs and maintaining defensive pressure, Mayville dictated the pace of the match from the opening serve to the final point. This victory serves as a significant boost for the Cardinals as they continue to climb the conference standings. For Lomira, the loss provides a clear indication of areas needing refinement as they look toward upcoming league fixtures. With the conference race intensifying, Mayville’s ability to sweep a road opponent underscores their status as a formidable contender within the league. Both teams now turn their focus to preparation for their next scheduled competitions as the mid-season grind continues.
