The Laconia Spartans asserted their dominance in the Flyway conference on Thursday night, utilizing a balanced offensive attack to overcome Campbellsport in four sets. After dropping the second frame, the Spartans responded with intensity to secure a 25-16, 20-25, 25-17, 25-17 win in their home gym. Kensley McCauley anchored the Spartan attack with a commanding 18 kills, while the team's defensive front consistently stifled Campbellsport’s momentum at the net. Bailey Goebel proved pivotal in the victory, contributing 15 assists and eight kills alongside a formidable five-block performance. Defensively, the Spartans relied on a collective effort from Kendyl Pluim and Josie Basler, who combined for 36 digs to keep rallies alive against a resilient Campbellsport squad. Despite the loss, Campbellsport remained competitive throughout the match, particularly during their second-set turnaround, but ultimately could not match the sustained defensive depth displayed by the Spartans in the latter half of the contest. --- BOX SCORE Campbellsport High School 1 | Laconia Spartans 3 Set 1: Campbellsport High School 16, Laconia Spartans 25 Set 2: Campbellsport High School 25, Laconia Spartans 20 Set 3: Campbellsport High School 17, Laconia Spartans 25 Set 4: Campbellsport High School 17, Laconia Spartans 25 Kills: Campbellsport High School N/A, Laconia Spartans 44 Total Digs: Campbellsport High School N/A, Laconia Spartans 87 Total Blocks: Campbellsport High School N/A, Laconia Spartans 11 Service Aces: Campbellsport High School N/A, Laconia Spartans 5
