Friday night at the Oriole Athletic Complex turned into a showcase for the visiting Lomira Lions as they dismantled North Fond du Lac in a 49-8 non-conference decision. From the opening kickoff, Lomira controlled the line of scrimmage and dictated the tempo of the game. By establishing a rhythm on the ground, the Lions kept the home defense on its heels throughout the first half. North Fond du Lac struggled to find an answer for the sustained pressure, falling behind early as the scoreboard widened before the halftime break. The second half saw little change in the momentum, as the Lions efficiently managed their possessions to maintain a comfortable gap. While the Orioles managed to break through for a score, the game remained securely in Lomira's favor. This lopsided outcome offers the Lions a boost of confidence as they look toward future matchups on their schedule. For North Fond du Lac, the focus shifts immediately to film study and fundamental adjustments during practice next week. Both programs will use the tape from this non-conference contest to identify areas for growth as the season enters its next phase.
